Workplace violence presents serious occupational safety hazards for workers and unique challenges for employers who must prevent violence from occurring. During the last decade homicide was the third leading cause of death for all workers and the leading cause of occupational death for female workers. The value of our prevention program, from a preparedness perspective, by conducting workplace evaluations, or risk assessments, through developing and implementing programs to prevent and minimize environmental hazards which contribute or cause workplace violence. By investing in minimizing hazards in the workplace, maintaining security plans, staying current with advances in technology and updating skills, businesses will insure a safe environment for their employees as they protect their investments.
