David E. Zeldin Appointed By Governor Andrew M. Cuomo To New York State Security Guard Advisory Council

Freeport, N.Y., June 23, 2011 – INVESTICORP, INC. announced that its founder, President and CEO, David E. Zeldin, CFE, has been appointed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, as a Member of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council.

The Security Guard Advisory Council is a mandated component of the Security Guard Act of 1992, Article 7A of the NYS General Business Law. The council advises the Department of State, Division of Licensing Services as well as the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. Members of the council are appointed by the Governor, after an extensive vetting process by the Governor’s Appointments Office and the NYS Police.

Members take an Oath of Office, as required of all State Officers. David E. Zeldin served on the first Security Guard Advisory Council, having been appointed by Governor Mario M. Cuomo. Mr. Zeldin may be the only Council Member to have been appointed by both Governors Cuomo.

David E. Zeldin is a past president of the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State, which represents the security guard and investigation industry, as well as the Long Island Chapters of ASIS International and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, where he is currently a vice president. Mr. Zeldin is also a vice president of the Metropolitan Security Council of Greater New York and a Board Member of the Long Island Chapter of InfraGard Members Alliance.

Since 1983, Mr. Zeldin has been licensed as a Private Investigator in the State of New York, and several other States. Investicorp, Inc. provides corporate investigation and consulting services to a wide array of businesses.
